BAGS OF LOVE

Women's Ministries outreach meets monthly to create bags filled with immediate needs items, age and gender-appropriate toys, books, etc., plus a blanket or hand-made quilt for children entering into foster care in Anoka and surrounding counties. The group coordinates services with Safe Haven Foster Shoppe in Isanti, MN for storage and distribution of bags. Donations are always needed. Visit Women's Ministries - Bags of Love for project details and the monthly schedule.

SHERIDAN STORY WEEKEND FOOD FOR STUDENTS

Andover SDA Church currently sponsors 15 students at Morris Bye Elementary School in Coon Rapids who have food insecurity in their homes. Each Friday during the school year, volunteers distribute food to the students' lockers and backpacks, intended to supply families in need with food for the weekend. Contact Tammy Schulte if you are interested in helping distribute the food or want to personally sponsor a student. It costs just $16 per month to provide substantive, nutritious food for a child to take home for the weekend.

WOMEN'S MINISTRIES "GOD IN SHOES SPA DAY" OUTREACH

"God In Shoes Spa Day" brings new shoes to women who are connected to a women's shelter for support or safety, as well as providing compassionate physical care in the form of massages, manicures, pedicures and foot care. If you are interested in donating NEW shoes or participating as a volunteer, contact Shannon Muehlberg, Women's Ministries Director. Spa Day dates and details will be posted on the calendar page.

Kelsey Round Lake Park Adopt-a-park

Andover SDA Church has adopted Kelsey Round Lake park, located northwest of the church, to provide volunteer clean-up services. The park is a nice walk from the church through the neighborhood and accessing a walking trail.

Grief Support Coalition for Anoka county

Andover SDA Church partners with other local churches and organizations to conduct bi-annual grief support group events, by providing information and volunteers for each six-week series, and periodically hosting the event. The church calendar posts dates and details for each series.
